THE FOUNDER OF BCA NETWORK TALKED ABOUT WHAT NFT IS AND THE WAY OF PARTICIPATION

On Dec 13, 2021, Sun Bohan, founder of BCA Network, was invited to the Graduate festival of Applied Imagination as a guest speaker at CSM(Central Saint Martins). CSM is one of the top art institution in the world. Sun Bohan shared his opinions about the emerging global topic which epitomises remapping for the digital art world and introduced the way of participating in the tide of this era as an artist.

The event is taking place as part of the Central Saint Martins UAL Postgraduate Showcase, celebrating some of the most inspiring new work across design, media and screen. Sun Bohan, founder of BCA Network, the only Chinese NFT platform that has influenced the world, made a conversation with the CSM graduating student Youlin Shi. Students and staff who are interested in Crypto Art, NFT and Chinese issues can take a part in this online event and hear about this emerging global topic which epitomises remapping for the digital art world.

Since its establishment in 2018, BCA Network has cooperated extensively with artists and art institutions around the world. Recently, BCA hosted “Metaverse Carnival”, in which one of units is now exhibiting dozens of works by British artists in cryptovoxels art space. In the context of the metaverse, cultures blend together and exhibit boundlessly. This time, the joint curation of East and West will present a grand view of cryptoart.

BCA Academy is the first Crypto Art Education and Research Institute in Asia. In 2021, we hosted “Crypto Migration: A Journey to Post-digital Microworld”, a crypto culture educational program, with academic support from Tsinghua x-lab and CAFA. Program tutors come from diverse backgrounds in the crypto world, including Sun Bohan, and Chinese leading crypto art collectors and artists, Cao Yin, Reva, Ellwood, as well as industry innovators Suji Yan, Yisliu Liu from Mask Network, Qinwen from Web3 Foundation.

BCA Academy has been collaborated with top art education institutions like CSM, CAFA, Christie’s Education, etc. Recently, BCA Academy has reached a strategic partnership with CAFA to cohost a program in CAFA and explore talents, engage in academic research, host exhibitions, offer various courses on cryptoart, organize competitions, etc.
