MetaOpus Biweekly Report（08/16–09/01）
Since August 16th, there are more artworks, users and transactions on MetaOpus. We have attracted many artists from all over the world to join MetaOpus, and many NFT collectors to register, visit and collect the artworks they love.
Artists
From 16th August to 1st September, there are 18 artists signed on MetaOpus, including IreneCerezo、Tang guozhi、Zachary Chen、luyao、Mong、dengqipeng、Zhongyao Wang、LEFT、CryptoAi、Aedel Fakhrie、Digitalgal、Acid Beach Cats and Nanel.
- Chinese artist Wang Zhongyao graduated from Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. She is usually inspired by social scenes. She creates an artistic style that is more poetic and lyrical by using three-dimensional animation, photography, various static materials and archives. Wang Zhongyao focuses on cryptographic art and feminist issues. This work called “Aleph Behind The Door”, is the artist’s response to metaverse. It’s divided into two parts. People can visit the online exhibition behind the door by holding tickets “Welcome to the Art world”.
Borges wrote that people can see the whole world in Aleph in 1949. Metaverse has turned Aleph which only exist in fantasy into the technology in real life. Aleph behind the door is Aleph on the screen today. People can see the whole world on screens.

2. The artist Sun Zhongyuan (aka APP) was born in 1985. He currently lives and works in Suzhou. Majored in applied physics at the university, he learned photography continue creating after graduating and working for seven years. He is still fighting in the workplace while maintaining his identity as an artist. Due to their exaggerated modeling and color matching, the series of high-voltage works have completely subverted the boundary between photography and painting, and brought the audience into a time and space full of unknowns. Until now, more than 80 of his works have been collected by well-known collectors and large institutions.

Market Development
1. The NFT podcast “NFTalk” Vol. 03 “Art Blocks: The Value of Generative Content” and Vol. 04 “Decisive Moments in History of NFT” has been successfully launched. Nearly a thousand people watch it in Bilibili Channel. The record has been released on the BlockBeats podcast and and several other blockchain media channels.
2. Organized by the National Development and Reform Commission and other four ministries, sponsored by the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and hosted by Zonff Partners, the 9th China SME Investment & Finance Expo and 2021 China Blockchain Industry Summit will be held at the Beijing National Convention Center from September 10th to 12th. The summit will be reported by People’s Daily Online. Government officials, well-known academicians and leading enterprises at home and abroad will participate in this summit.
BlockCreateArt (BCA), as a representative of enterprises exploring the forefront of NFT and metaverse, exhibit seven artworks of seven best-known digital artists at home and abroad, including Dabeiyuzhou, ZSZS, SANCHIALAU, SanjiYang, anaida26,AlexEbcy and rizkiahmads on the summit. Meanwhile, “Illustrated Handbook of Chinese Punks” composed of 68 CryptoPunks will be displayed in the BCA exhibition hall. The CryptoPunks Chinese community is a decentralized community composed of top blockchain collectors, representing the top blockchain civilization gathering place. The exhibition of this work is also the first time that Punk.China has been exhibited as a group. Each CryptoPunks with a number and owner’s information will be neatly displayed on the 9.5m×3m LED exhibition wall, forming a “China Punk Illustrated Book.
